CARMELLA SWIFT

Actor

As a young actor, Carmella brings her boundless energy and enthusiasm to the stage. Carmella played a teenager from the 1990s in Mudflap Girl's premier performance and will be joining the show when it hits the road to play in High River in summer of 2023.

CAROL WRIGHT

Actor & Writer

Carol plays a nurse with shifting perspectives in Frank and a quilter with a secret past in Georgia. Her 2022 premier as a playwright was Lollipop Anyone?, a comedy about a group of seniors seeking lasting relationships. 

CYNTHIA CLARK

Actor & Advocate

Cynthia brought enthusiasm and joy to her role as The Patron in the first production of 398.2 at the One Act Play Festival in Pumphouse Theatre in 2022.

DIANNA CAMPBELL-SMITH

Actor

Dianna draws upon her comedy skills to play a silent kleptomaniac with a dark past in Frank and a quilter with deep secrets in Georgia. In her spare time, she is also a jewellery designer and artist.

EVANGELINE MABLY

Actor & Singer

Most of the year, Evangeline teaches Music and French but during the summer, she puts her skills and talents into performance! Evangeline brought her enthusiasm to play The Librarian in 398.2 and the lead character in Alice in Wonderland

FAYE BROWN

Actor, Clown, & Writer

Faye played the comedic Clarissa in Frank, the nervous Mouse in Alice, and her dramatic skills shone as Miriam in Georgia. Faye is a retired teacher who taught children with special needs. 

GLYNNA MACKENZIE

Actor

Glynna has had a busy year in 2023. She played a young person in the 1990s in Mudflap Girl and the main character’s love interest in the FLC Seniors Acting Club’s production of Georgia.

HANNA HESS

Singer, Dancer, & Actor

Hanna is not new to the stage, but her acting debut was playing giggling Ginger in Sundog’s production of Frank. She is a member of Silver Stars Musical Revue, a talented group of mature performers.

HANNAH ASKAR

Actor

Hannah joined Sundog’s 2023 season as an emerging artist. She portrayed a young woman form the 2010s in Mudflap Girl and also played in the FLC Seniors Acting Club’s production of Seniors’ Brian Trust.

JOEL BRAUN

Actor

After graduating form the Rosebud School of the Arts, Joel joined the cast of Sundog’s 2022 show, Frank. As a director, writer, and actor, Joel has been busy bringing his many talents to the stage since.

JOTI JANDA

Actor

Joti has taken part in several of Sundog’s shows including Frank, and Everybody Loves Raita. This talented artist joined Vancouver Film School in September 2022.

KONODO

Actor

As a screen and stage actor, Konodo brought his talents to the role of The Librarian in the first production of 398.2 at the One Act Play Festival in Pumphouse Theatre in 2022.

LORI MOORE

Actor

Lori appears in the comedy, Frank and her dramatic skills will be highlighted as the narrator in Ulalume. In her spare time, she chases around her ten grandchildren! 

MARY ARMSTRONG

Actor

Mary keeps busy auditioning for film, television and voice roles but she chose to make her stage debut with Sundog's production of Mudflap Girl in 2023. She will reprise her role as the iconic character in High River in the summer of 2023.

MOHIT CHOPRA

Actor

Mohit’s first stage performance was in Everybody Loves Raita. He has a natural talent for expression and comedic timing.

RANDY ‘ZIP’ DAY

Actor

Randy plays the eponymous character in Frank. He is always learning new skills and seeking new experiences on stage and screen. You will see him again in 2023!

REBEKAH LEDOUX

Actor

Rebekah played Saddie in Frank and brought her skills and talents to the role of The Rabbit in Alice. After two harrowing years in Vancouver, she is reestablishing herself Calgary.

ROSE BENE

Actor

Rose coordinates the FLC Seniors’ Acting Club which aims to engage thespians 55+. She is an active and enthusiastic participant in many shows including Sundog’s 2022 production of Frank and Mudflap Girl in 2023.

TOM CARVER

Actor

Tom’s range for drama and comedy can be seen in his roles as a 1970s Trucker in Mudflap Girl and The Warden in Georgia. He has a rich acting career and is an avid member of the FLC Seniors Acting Club.

TRIPTI CHOPRA

Actor

Tripti starred alongside her real-life husband, Mohit, in Everybody Loves Raita. She brought the character of Bali to life with her exceptional talent and skill. 

ZAIN AHMED

Actor

Zain stage debut was in 2022, when he played Ravi in Everybody Loves Raita with his own personal flair.

ZIGA POROMON

Actor & Singer

Ziga has had a prolific career and played in over twenty shows in 2020-2022. She played the freespirited patron in Sundog’s performances of 398.2 at The Venue in High River.

AGATHA JAYAWARDENA

Guest Director

Agatha has travelled from Colombo, Sri Lanka as a guest of Sundog Storytellers. She is passionate about human connection and storytelling.

EVANGELINE FERNANDO

Dramaturge

Evangeline, based in London, England, has been involved in the performing arts from a young age starting as a singer and actor. Now she is a champion for emerging artists.


LAURA MAHE

Director

Laura, our resident multihyphenate, is a musician and director. She is currently on sabbatical to explore and develop her cello skills.


MICHELLE TRUONG

Director

Michelle has a diverse artistic background tied together by a keen desire to uncover human connections. She brings empathy and joy to all of her projects.


MYRIAM NICKEL

Lead Director

Myriam is a talented artist, designer, and director with an artist-driven approach to directing. She is also very passionate about interactive theatre.


SERINA KWOK

Stage Manager

Serina’s dedication and hard work behind the curtain keep our productions running smoothly. But it is her wit and humour that keep us on our toes, especially on performance days.


SYA SEN

Artistic Director

Based in Calgary, Canada, Sya loves writing and creating. She is responsible for the artistic vision of Sundog’s 2023 season.


YASMIN KHAN

Casting Director

Yasmin Khan’s 2022 work, Everybody Loves Raita premiered at the Calgary’s One Act Play Festival. Her story won the award for Outstanding New Work.
